The world is facing challenges for pollution, air pollution is a major problem in the world. It kills more than 1 million people every year in the country. According to the world’s AQ report by IQ Air, India is the home of 14 to 20 most polluted cities in the world. 90% of the world’s population breathes harmful air. According to WHO air pollution can cause many diseases such as stroke, heart diseases, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, and lung cancer.


Ghaziabad is a part of NCR, it is one of the most polluted cities in the world according to a recent report by IQ Air. The main causes of pollution are traffic congestion and dust.

Ghaziabad’s air quality index (AQI) level is 110.2.

Gurugram, which is known as the hub of IT in India is now included in the list of most polluted cities in the world, with the worst level of air pollution. It is the city where world’s major IT companies there like Google and Microsoft. The main sources responsible for air pollution are a large number of diesel generators and polluting vehicles. The destruction of the Aravali range is considered to be the major cause of air pollution in the city. AQI level 93.1 of Gurugram IQ.


The city of Revind in Pakistan is a famous site of premature deaths. The main sources of pollution in the rewind are sandstorms, agriculture, industrial waste, forest fires, and burning of fossil fuels as the main causes of its pollution which is not good for the humans who live there. The AQI level of rewind is 92.2.


Greater Noida is a newly developed city in India but is second to none in terms of pollution. The causes of pollution of Greater Noida are – NH-9 expansion, vehicle activity, major construction, diesel generator, sewage burning, etc. Greater Noida has an AQI level of 91.3.


The main sources of pollution are untreated municipal waste, industrial plants, vehicle pollution, burning of waste, etc. The AQI level of Bandhwari is 90.5.
