Rimi Sen who is a well-known actress has taken legal action against Land Rover. As Rimi Sen sued to Land Rover for Rs 50 crores she is demanding Rs 50 crores in damages as she claims that the car she bought in 2020 had many issues. These problems included a faulty sunroof, sound system and rear-end camera. Rimi says that the rear-end camera malfunctioned and caused her car to hit a pillar in August 2022. She feels that the dealers did not take her complaints seriously and they kept asking for proof before fixing the issues. This led to a lot of stress and inconvenience for her.
She bought the car for Rs 92 lakh from an authorized dealer and the car was under warranty until January 2023 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic she did not use the car much initially. When she started using it she faced many problems and she believes the car was defective from the start. Rimi is now asking for Rs 50 crores for the mental harassment she faced and she also wants Rs 10 lakh to cover her legal expenses. Additionally she is asking for a replacement of the defective car as she hopes that this legal action will bring her some relief.
