In a recent strange incident reported, the Landlord’s son installed spy cam in woman’s washroom. The incident took place in Shakarpur area of Delhi.
The lady used to hand over the keys of her rented house to her landlord’s son, Karan, when she left for town. In her absence, Landlord’s son installed spy cam in woman’s washroom in the bulb holders of her washroom and bedroom.
The woman’s suspicion began when she realized that her WhatsApp account was logged into an unknown laptop. She noticed and immediately logged out from the unknown device. After being a victim of spying, she approached the expert for help. She was advised to check the list of her linked devices on WhatsApp. It was here she confirmed that her account was logged in via a laptop she did not recognize.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Apoorva Gupta confirmed that the woman had logged out from an unknown laptop. She first saw a hidden camera in the bulb holder of her bathroom. She immediately called the police to report the matter. The police arrived at the spot and searched the flat. In the course of the investigation, they also found a second hidden camera in her bedroom.
As the landlord’s son installed spy cam in woman’s washroom, he was arrested for installing the cameras. The woman was an aspirant to the civil service and used to give him keys of her house. Karan and the woman were residing in the same building and their flat was really not far apart. He broke under the police interrogation and confessed to the cameras. Karan told the police that he had installed the cameras three months back after the woman had gone to her hometown in Uttar Pradesh.

The 30-year-old man had bought three spy cameras from an electronics market. He installed one in her bathroom and another in her bedroom. As the cameras could not be operated online, Karan needed access to download the footage. He often asked for the house keys and used the opportunity to retrieve the videos taped on the cameras into his laptop by claiming that he needs to get electrical appliances repaired.
The police even found another spy camera from Karan during investigation. All his laptops used to store the recorded videos were also taken over by the police. It came to light owing to the vigilant nature of the woman checking activity on her WhatsApp. The police are in the process of finding out what exactly Karan had done and they are going through all the footage Karan had stored.
