PM Modi holds roadshow in Andhra Pradesh, promises projects worth ₹2 lakh crore in Visakhapatnam

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, flanked by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, led a grand roadshow in Visakhapatnam. The procession started from the Sampath Vinayak temple to the ground of the engineering college in Andhra University. Thousands thronged the streets to catch a glimpse of the leaders as they greeted from an open vehicle, with supporters lining up on either side waving party flags of TDP, BJP, and Janasena and showering flowers.

Which projects did PM Modi discuss in Andhra Pradesh roadshow for Visakhapatnam?

During his visit, PM Modi founded several major project stones. Notable among them was the long-awaited railway zone and NTPC’s integrated green hydrogen hub in the Pudimadaka location of Anakapalli District. In these, he began a variety of initiatives related with rail and highway sectors. A fresh chapter on building infrastructure for states was inaugurated.

In an address to the gathering, Prime Minister Modi elaborated on how Andhra Pradesh can become the state for future technologies. “Andhra Pradesh is a land of immense opportunities. Realizing this potential is crucial not only for the state but for India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation,” he added.

PM Modi hailed the TDP-led state government’s vision of making Andhra a $2.5 trillion economy by 2047 through its ‘Swarna Andhra @ 2047’ initiative. “The central government is committed to walking shoulder-to-shoulder with Andhra Pradesh in achieving this goal,” he reaffirmed.

Visakhapatnam would be on the top for producing green hydrogen

Pointing out the NTPC green hydrogen hub in Visakhapatnam, Modi said that the facility would place the city of Visakhapatnam on top of the global chart in producing green hydrogen. He underlined its employment generation and a robust manufacturing ecosystem. More importantly, the Prime Minister laid the foundation for the Bulk Drug Park in Nakkapalli and the Krishnapatnam Industrial Area, which explained the focus of this government on the aspects of urbanization as a growth trigger.

Chief Minister Naidu lauded PM Modi’s leadership, crediting him with inspiring the state’s transformative initiatives. “With your guidance and blessings, we will complete Amravati and turn it into a world-class city,” Naidu declared.
