Diljit Dosanjh serve Punjabi Pride
Diljit Dosanjh seemed every bit royal in a white turban and white ensemble. He accessorised his appearance with jewelry. Diljit Dosanjh never missed a chance to uphold his Punjabi roots. His long white turban became inscribed with Punjabi alphabets. He also sported a sword, complementing his royal appearance. The theme of this year’s Met Gala is Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.
This year’s Met Gala dress code is “Tailored for You” – a reference to the suiting and menswear which features in the exhibition. “The theme this year isn’t always most effective, well timed,” said Gala committee member Usher. It also speaks to our rich life that usually needs to be widely celebrated.”
Punjabi Singer captivate audiences in USA, Canada and India
Coming again to Diljit Dosanjh, the singer captivated audiences in the USA, Canada, and India with his sensational Dil-luminati Tour. The singer’s upcoming single, titled Buck, in collaboration with K-pop superstar Jackson Wang, set to release on May 9.
The Met says the show “provide a cultural and historical exam of black fashion from the 18th Century to today, by lens of dandyism”. The team behind the event arrangements are singer Pharrell Williams, actor Colman Domingo, F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, rapper A$AP Rocky, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
