The sequel to the 2018 hit Raid executed well on its opening day, earning Rs 19.25 crore, thanks to the partial holiday on Maharashtra Day and Labour Day.

On May 2, 2025, Raid 2 earned Rs 11.75 crore on Day 2, marking a 38.96% decline from its opening day. As of now, full box office collection stands at Rs 31 crore. Industry tracker Sacnilk mentioned that this 2nd-day dip was predicted, given that the movie’s performance on Day 2 occurs throughout a regular working day.
Industry Reactions and Comparisons
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to X (previously Twitter) to praise Raid 2’s wonderful starting. He pointed out that the sequel outperformed different main Ajay Devgn movies which includes Shaitaan, Drishyam 2, and Tanhaji on its opening day. “Raid 2 takes a thunderous start on its opening day, aided by using the partial holiday… Besides the holiday component, the franchise energy additionally played a key role in attracting footfalls,” Adarsh wrote.
He also highlighted the brilliant 96.31% growth Raid 2 showed over the first installment of Raid, which earned Rs 10.04 crore on its opening day in 2018.
