8 hour eating window cause heart attack

Many people follow the 8 hour eating window in which they follow the ratio of 16:8 which means that they eat all of the food of the day in just an 8 hour eating window including breakfast, lunch, and dinner and then fast for the rest 16 hours. As this practice is becoming common in the world to save time for most people, it is also bringing a lot of threats to people in the form of cardiovascular death.

Most of the people usually eat in the window of 16 hours which gives plenty of time to eat at different times of the day and they sleep the remaining 8 hours in which they don’t eat anything. For these people there is less risk for cardiovascular death.

An analysis of almost 20000 US adults was done who limited their eating to the period of eight hours per day and the people who could eat anytime in the period of 16 hours per day before sleeping. This analysis was done in Chicago on March 18-21.

What Were The Results:

“Restricting daily eating time to a short period, such as 8 hours per day, has gained popularity in recent years as a way to lose weight and improve heart health,” said senior study author Victor Wenze Zhong, Ph.D., a professor and chair of the department of epidemiology and biostatistics at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in Shanghai, China. “However, the long-term health effects of time-restricted eating, including risk of death from any cause or cardiovascular disease, are unknown.”

Moreover, it was also found out that the people who eat their food in between the window of 8 hours were also in more threat of stroke and heart disease death than the people who eat in the 16 hours window. It was also seen that 16 hours window of eating also results in low risk of cancer mortality among the people who have cancer.
