Ramesh Babu, the fabulous Bangalore-based barber, is better known for his hair-cutting skill than his collecting acumen, which is deigned to luxury cars. In a continuation of this automobile penchant, he has acquired over 200 vehicles, and with most prestigious car brands around the world.
Babu has recently acquired three Mercedes-Benz E-Class cars. The model he bought was the E-Class LWB 220D in white. Notably, three of them stand in the showrooms, approximately for Rs 73 lakh each. Sundaram Motors Bangalore shared the purchase on Instagram. The news of his royalty went viral in no time.

Perhaps the actual gem in Babu’s collection is the Rolls Royce Ghost worth approx Rs 7 crores. According to him, the Rolls Royce Ghost is one of his prized possessions. He says that not too many people possess one in India.
He even has Rolls Royce and Mercedes in his collection. He also has a rare Mercedes Maybach S600. He rents it for a whopping Rs 6,000 an hour through his travel agency, Ramesh Tours and Travels. There is also the Land Rover Defender 130, which he rents out for Rs 3,000 an hour in Bangalore.
Babu’s expenditure is a peove for his ardor for luxury cars and business entrepreneurship. Babu’s success story is highly acclaimed because he started from a small barbershop and took his business to new heights.
Starting humbly, he now has a multi-million business named Ramesh tours and travels. His father passed away when Babu was still young. To earn bread and butter, he took over his father’s barber shop. Buying a Maruti Suzuki Omni Van in early 1900s shaped his career. Although he bought it for personal use, but eventually rent it out. From there, his mind clicked the idea of this rent-a-car business, which he turned into an ultimate luxurious experience.
