Indian-American CEO, Anip Patel criticizes Air India service: Think twice before you book the flight

Anip Patel criticizes Air India service in a viral TikTok video, narrating his awful first-class travel experience from New Delhi to Chicago. Patel is the founder of CaPatel Investments and shelled out a whopping 6,300 bucks for the ticket. But, he termed the experience as a “nightmare,” calling it the “worst first-class cabin” he had ever flown in.

Patel’s video comes at a time when Air India is announcing a $400 million refurbishment program looking to spruce up its 67 aircraft, including Airbus A320neo and Boeing ones. However, service delivery on issues like these does not seem to improve much, as Anip Patel slams Air India calibre. He shows viewers damaged compartments and worn-out cabin surfaces. Although he says he understands regular wear and tear, this was something else altogether.

Patels also has complaints about the in-flight services. He reported being served a cold towel instead of a warm towel. He complained that there was not much on the menu, and the headphones weren’t even in good shape. With a few positives being comfortable pyjamas along with a Ferragamo collaboration, Anip Patel takes a dig at poor Air India service for lacking in every aspect.

The biggest problem Patel had with them was that in-flight entertainment and Wi-Fi didn’t work on the 15-hour flight. “Nothing worked, it was all broken,” he said, including parts of it that were literally taped to walls. Patel concluded his video by saying the flight was “a nightmare.”

Air India is owned by Tata Group. It has been lavishly splurging on technology in the aviation sector as is reported that 470 new aircraft were ordered.
