The Old Rule Of Fastag Is Over As Their Will Be No Waiting At Toll Plaza

The Old rule of Fastag is over and it will be soon replaced by the new rule which is made by the RBI which is known as Reserved Bank of India. The people are exhausted from passing the toll Plaza as it wastes a lot of their time and efforts in order to pass as they have to give tax. The people are not exhausted by giving tax but they are exhausted of the waiting period they have to bear while paying the tax at the toll plaza as there are huge lines of vehicles at the Toll Plaza which wastes a lot of time of the people.

Therefore the Reserve Bank of India has noticed this issue and came up with the solution in order to make the process of paying taxes at the toll plaza easy and convenient for Indians. Therefore the old rule of Fastag is over and the new rule is about to come. The reserve bank uses Fastag and national mobility cards and the Indians should make sure to keep the amount in these cards above the prescribed limit otherwise the Reserved bank of India will deduct the money from the bank account of the Indians and put the money into these cards.

This has led to the problem of frequent recharge to finish as the money will be automatically transferred to the cards therefore everyone coming to the toll plaza will have the required money within their cards and they don’t have to recharge the card at that time. Therefore the users can easily pay through these cards. In the previous rule the users had to make sure to make a pre-debit notification 24 hours before the time when he had to debit the money but now there’s no time limit and the amount could be debited without any time taken.

What Is FASTag And National Mobility Cards?

FASTag is an electronic toll collection system in India and it uses RFID technology to automatically deduct toll charges from a linked account. This system helps reduce traffic congestion at toll plazas and National Mobility Cards on the other hand are designed to make travel across various modes of transport seamless. They can be used for metro, bus and even parking payments.

New rules for FASTag and National Mobility Cards aim to make toll plaza crossings smoother. From August 1 2024 users must update their KYC information if their FASTag is three to five years old and those with older tags need replacements. Each FASTag must be linked to the vehicle’s registration number and chassis number and these updates ensure accurate toll deductions and reduce delays. The National Mobility Card also has new guidelines. It must be linked to the user’s mobile number for easy updates and these changes are expected to make travel more efficient.
