“Allowing Muslims to Live in India Was the Biggest Mistake” warns Union Minister Giriraj Singh

allowing Muslims to live in India was the biggest mistake

Indian Union minister Giriraj Singh has claimed that allowing Muslims to live in India was the biggest mistake which has caused a lot of hurdles for India in terms of development. Giriraj Singh who is also the senior Bhartiya Janta Party leader said that India shouldn’t have allowed Muslims to stay in India in 1947 which have resented many Muslims living in India.

He stated that allowing Muslims to live in India was the biggest mistake and suggested that relocating them might have changed the current situation. “The biggest mistake was allowing Muslims to stay here. If the country was partitioned along religious lines, why were Muslims permitted to remain? If they had been relocated, the current situation might have been different.”

He further said that sending all Muslims to Pakistan during the 1947 partition would have prevented current issues. “It is the misfortune for this country. Had some of our ancestors in 1947 sent all Muslims to Pakistan when the country was partitioned on religious lines, then nobody could have raised such questions,” he said.

A Muslim Indian responded defiantly, saying he was born an Indian and would die an Indian despite any threats. “Do your worst, Giriraj. I was born an Indian, and even if you kill me, I will die an Indian. Keep crying and seething.” Journalist Rohini Singh commented that without Muslims in India, the BJP and Giriraj Singh would not have political relevance. “If there were no Muslims in India, the BJP wouldn’t exist and Giriraj Singh wouldn’t be made minister.”

What Is The History Of Partition In Which Muslims Were Allowed To Live In India

India and Pakistan were partitioned in 1947. However, at the time of partition there was certain issues of the areas to be distributed to both of the states. The Muslim majority areas of Ferozpur and Junagar were given to India. Therefore the Muslims living in that area were forcefully had to live in that area as the migration was not possib;e due to the extreme violence. Moreover, the Hindu majority area of Chittagong was given to East Pakistan therefore the Hindus in Pakistan had to forcefully live in Pakistan and cannot migrate.

Further, in the time of Liaquat Ali Khan and Jawarlal Nehru the Liaquat-Nehru pact was signed between India and Pakistan in which it was decided that the borders of both countries will now be closed and now the Muslims who have been left in India will live in India as a minority but their rights have to be protected and the Hindus who were left in Pakistan will stay in Pakistan and their right should also have to be protected.

Therefore the Union minister is talking about this incident in which he is telling that at this time the Indian ancestors should not have allowed Muslims to live in India which could have led to better condition of India.
