Digital Payments Award 2024-25 Presented to India Post Payments Bank (IPPB)

 India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) has been conferred the ‘Digital Payments Award 2024-25’. The award conferred in recognition of its super contribution to increasing digital payments and economic inclusion in country.

The award provided by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Pankaj Chaudhary, MoS Finance. India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) achieved 1st position among Payments Banks in India in Performance Index for Financial Year 2024–25. The bank obtained the ‘Special Mention’ award for the Financial Year 2023-24.

It show the IPPB’s strong skills and its unwavering dedication to delivering engaging, generation-led, citizen-centric banking solutions with a reason. Established with the vision of using financial inclusion at scale, IPPB emerged as biggest platform for digital banking in India. This bank also increase the reach of the Department of Posts network.

With a strong tech-driven architecture and a doorstep banking model powered by over 2 lakh Postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks, IPPB play role in promoting digital bills. “This award is a statement to IPPB’s efforts in making digital economic services available, engaging, and reliable.

IPPB provide digital banking solutions

Digital Payments Award honoured IPPB for its recognition and commitment to empowering each Indian citizen through innovative and efficient digital banking solutions,” said R. Viswesvaran, MD and CEO of India Post Payments Bank. This recognition underscores IPPB’s work to bridge the city-rural divide in banking. It confirm its role as a key enabler in the Government’s vision of a cash-light, digitally empowered financial system.

IPPB set up under Department of Posts, Ministry of Communication with 100 % fairness owned by the authorities. The fundamental mandate of India Post Payments Bank is to remove obstacles. It reach the closing mile leveraging the Postal community comprise 1,65,000 Post Offices (140,000 in rural regions) and 3,00,000 Postal personnel.
