On Monday, Adani Group rejects the reports on 3000 bighas allotment by Assam Government for cement factory. The company termed the report as baseless, false and misleading. Adani group spokeperson said, “ It has come to notice that some news reports and social media clips from court are circulated, and claims that Assam government allot 3000 bighas land in Dima Hasao for cement plant factory.”
The spokeperson also said further, “ Linking Adani group to Mahabal cement is mischievous. We are not connected to mahabal cement in any way.” We urge the media members, and digital platforms to first verify facts before make such claims or not spreading it.
Adani Group rejects land allotment claims amid EC frustration
The reports are comes after Gauhati High Court observe that Assam government allot 3000 bighas lands to private cement company in dima hasao district of Assam. The court also questioned why government gave massive land allocation to company and stressed that public interests matters.
Justice Sanjay Kumar Medhi asked from state government, “ Is it a joke? Public interests not private interests, is what matters.” The court observations occurs after submissions protects the company, that claims that allotted lands is barren and important for cement plant.
