The US approved the sale of the Javelin Missile System, Excalibur Projectiles, and related equipment to India for $92.8 million, according to a statement from the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency.

The Javelin Missile System priced at $45.7 million, while the Excalibur Projectiles estimated to cost $47.1 million. The agency stated that the proposed sale will help support USA foreign policy and national security goals by strengthening the US-Indian relationship and improving the security of a defense partner.
This partner plays an important role in promoting political stability, peace, and economic growth in the Indo-Pacific and South Asia.
What’s included in the package
Under the agreement, the US supply 100 FGM-148 Javelin missiles, one Javelin missile for testing, and 25 Javelin launcher units (either LwCLU or Block 1 CLU). The package will also include training systems, practice rounds, batteries, technical manuals, maintenance support, spare parts, security checks, system testing, technical assistance, tool kits, training programs, launcher refurbishment services, and other logistical support.
Additionally, the USA will provide up to 216 M982A1 Excalibur artillery shells. This package will also include related equipment like fire control systems, primers, propellant charges, technical assistance, repair services, technical data, and other support.
