Bollywood actor Salman Khan allegedly offered money to the Bishnoi gang after Lawrence Bishnoi, an infamous gangster, had threatened to kill him. This incident dates back to the time of the Blackbuck poaching incident in which the Bishnoi community, which considers the animal sacred, took offense.
Lawrence Bishnoi, an accused in murder and extortion among other charges, had always denied any knowledge of these threats. This has now changed with his cousin, Ramesh Bishnoi, who recently revealed to media that Salman Khan had given money to the Bishnoi community as a ‘consolation fee’. But Ramesh clarified that the Bishnoi community refused this money and that the “principles of the community didn’t allow them to accept money from him”. The statement reads:

After the Blackbuck case, the feud between Salman Khan and the Bishnoi gang intensified with multiple threats against the actor. Ramesh Bishnoi alleged that the money offered by Salman Khan to Bishnoi gang members was declined, and they stood by their principles. He mentioned that the blood of the whole community was boiling after that incident, though he left it to the courts and emotions ran very high.
His father, Salim Khan, said that the Lawrence gang is doing this for money. I want to remind him his son brought a cheque book in front of the community, saying fill in the figures and take it. If we were hungry for money, we would have taken it at that time,”
“When Salman Khan killed the black buck, every Bishnoi’s blood was boiling. We left it to the court to decide. But if the community was made fun of, then it is natural for society to get angry. Today, the entire Bishnoi community stands with Lawrence in this matter.
Salman recieves continuous death threats: Can money solve the problem?
It is in April this year that the Mumbai Police had booked several members of the Bishnoi gang for allegedly conspiring to murder Salman Khan. It would be recalled that officials had earlier said that Salman Khan offered a hefty sum to these terrorists to bury the hatchet between the two, but the threats continued unabated. Security around the actor has been beefed up following these incidents, and the case remains under investigation.
Owing to the on-going tussle between Salman Khan and the Bishnoi gang, the crime scene acquires a more severe scope.
