₹6.3 Crore Academic Buildings Inaugurated at Rajahmundry Arts College by Nara Lokesh

Minister for Education and Information Technology Nara Lokesh opened several academic and research buildings costing ₹6.3 crore at the Government Rajahmundry Arts College on Friday, December 19, 2025.

Accompanied by Rajamahendravaram City MLA Adireddy Srinivas and MLC Somu Veerraju, Mr. Lokesh also opened the Vandemataram Movement Memorial Park on the college campus and noted the college’s role during the movement.

Multiple Academic Buildings Inaugurated at Rajahmundry Arts College

He unveiled the college logo, that placed on the renovated entrance gate. The Rajamahendravaram Urban Development Authority contributed ₹32 lakh for the logo and the entrance facility. The School of Commerce and Management building, built with ₹70 lakh in grants from the University Grants Commission and Tirumala Educational Institutions, also inaugurated on Friday.

2.2 crore funds for the Innovation and Incubation Hub

The Innovation and Incubation Hub, funded by Hansa Solutions, along with the Centre for International Studies and Research building and the Buddha Bhavan Block, developed with ₹2.2 crore from the College Internal Fund, were also opened. Other facilities included AI-driven digital classrooms created at a cost of ₹55 lakh and the ₹1.2 crore Technosphere Compute Lab, among other academic resources introduced by Mr. Lokesh.

Mr. Lokesh praised the students who operate the ‘Araku Coffee’ store on campus to earn income while studying. He spoke with international students at the C.V. Raman International Studies and Research Centre and asked about their experiences. Collegiate Education Commissioner Bharat Gupta, Government Arts College (Autonomous) Principal K. Ramachandra Rao, and faculty members were also present.
