In a proud moment for Rajasthan, Kota’s Anuj Agnihotri, a doctor, has achieved the top rank in the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). He accomplished this in his third attempt.
Anuj Agnihotri Tops UPSC Civil Services Exam 2025
Anuj Agnihotri topped the examination, while Rajeshwari Suve M and Akansh Dhull secured the second and third ranks, respectively. Agnihotri chose Medical Science as his optional subject.
Speaking to NDTV after his achievement, the 26-year-old said, “I consider luck as the major factor behind my success.”
Anuj’s journey to the top was not easy. This was his third try at the prestigious exam. In his first attempt, he was selected for the Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Civil Service (DANICS), where he is currently training.
Hard work pay result finally
A strong believer in self-discipline and hard work, Anuj Agnihotri relied mostly on online coaching and received interview guidance from Ensure IAS in Delhi. Sachin Jain, an Indian Revenue Service officer and mentor at Ensure IAS, guided Anuj during his interview preparation. He said that, “Anuj was always willing to learn, and our experience with our own civil services interviews helped him a lot.”
Coming from a modest background, Anuj’s father works at the Nuclear Power Plant in Kota, while his mother is a homemaker. A total of 958 candidates have qualified for the IAS, IFS, IPS, and other services. Candidates who took the examination can check and download the roll number-wise result on the official.
