Class 12 Exams: 23 Students Barred Over Unpaid Exam Fees

A case of alleged negligence by a private school has emerged in the Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh. This situation has left 23 students uncertain about their academic year. ShriGayatriVidyapeeth Higher Secondary School in Bhikangaon completed examination forms for Class 10 and Class 12 students but failed to pay the required fees to the state Board of Secondary Education on time.

As a result, 10 Class 12 students could not take their first English board examination. The issue came to light just before the exam, prompting protests by parents outside the school.

Future of unbarred students now depends on board final decision

Hundreds gathered and blocked a nearby highway, calling for accountability from the school management. The protest lasted late into the night.

Students reported that they learned about the fee issue just one day before the examination. Piyush Dilaware, a Class 12 student, mentioned he had been preparing for both the board exams and the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). He said missing the English paper could impact his entire academic year. “If I do not get another opportunity, my year will be wasted,” he stated.

What will Administrative Action?

Uzma Khan, another Class 12 student who is preparing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), said she had worked hard all year. She urged the Board to let affected students take the remaining exams.

Parents expressed anger, claiming they had paid all necessary fees to the school on time. One parent noted that their daughter, a biology student, could not take the English paper even though they paid months earlier.
