A private school’s fee in Hyderabad has caught the online attention. It sparks debate on affordability and transparency in India’s private education zone. A photograph shared by user Anuradha Tiwari, founder of the Dharma Party of India, shows the annual nursery fees of ₹2.51 lakh.
Tiwari wrote, “Now, learning ABCD will cost you ₹21,000 per month. What are these colleges even teaching to justify one of these high fees?” According to the fees details, pre-nursery I and II are priced at ₹2.42 lakh annually, and fees for Classes 1 is ₹2.91 lakh per year.
Hyderabad School Fees, ‘Education or exploitation’?
The post prompted strong reactions online. While some users criticised the high cost of early education, others referred to as for pressing regulation in the area.
“This complete procedure has become a type of scam. Certain things need to be regulated successfully,” one user wrote. Another said, “If you not have the money for the fees, don’t send your childrens to such schools. Simple.”
What push parents to send their childrens to costly schools
Others pointed to a deeper problem: the gap among board exam requirements, competitive exam demands in Hyderabad, and the growing personal education surroundings that often push parents closer to high-value institutes.
“These are faculties in which the elites send their children to seclude them from the 95% of Indians. That’s the premium you pay to send up your children, much like the private schools in US or different countries. India used to have some for a long term Doon college, the convents in Darjeeling or different secluded hilly areas with boarding options,” the third user wrote.
