Rajasthan Exam Staff Cuts Buttons from Women's Clothes to Stop Cheating

Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) SI exam held on 6 April and it cause controversy. It occurs due to strict checks on women candidates at exam center. Staff removed metal buttons from women clothes as part of anti-cheating measures. They snipped sacred threads, cut sleeves and took off earrings to ensure that no hidden electronic devices used at center.

This situation follows past exam issues, including the cancellation of the 2021 SI recruitment test due to a paper leak. Authorities have since tightened monitoring to prevent tech-based cheating methods.

Massive Exam Drive With Heavy Surveillance 

This year’s exam saw large participation, with over 3.85 lakh candidates appearing across 1,174 centers in the state. Despite the turnout, the participation rate was 61.56 %. Officials implemented strict frisking protocols and multiple layers of checking to ensure a fair and clear examination process. The main goal was to prevent any chance of cheating, especially with concealed gadgets.
