SRM University Assistant Professor Suspended for criticized posts on Op Sindoor

An SRM University Assistant Professor has been suspended following her crucial social media posts on Operation Sindoor, India’s current army strike focused on terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

The professor post a WhatsApp status after the strikes, declaring, “India killed a children in Pakistan and wounded two human beings in the early Wednesday strikes. Killing innocent lives for your personal bloodlust and election stunts is not bravery and it isn’t always justice. It is a cowardly attack.” Quoting Pakistani authorities, she also stated that 26 civilians had been killed, together with women and children, whilst 46 others were injured in the attack.

SRM University Assistant Professor suspends

In a next post, she warned that the escalation could result in “financial shutdown”, “food scarcity”, and “loss of life” for the next decade. Following this, the college issued a suspension order state “unethical activities” and introduced that an enquiry were initiated into her behavior.

The professor who has been employed at SRM University given that 2012, has had her school profile eliminated from the institute’s official website following the suspension.

Criticize Op Sindoor through social media posts

While the university has not officially confirmed that her social media posts of SRM University Assistant Professor have been the direct cause, the timing has brought about considerable speculation that the posts brought about the disciplinary movement.

It is also great that the SRM Group of Institutions is owned by using TR Paarivendhar, founder of the Indiya Jananayaka Katchi (IJK), a political party that contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in alliance with the BJP. Paarivendhar stood as a candidate from the Perambalur Lok Sabha constituency
