The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has announced the schedule for the UP Home Guard Exam. This recruitment aims to fill 41,424 posts across the state. The offline written test will take place over three days, namely April 25, 26, and 27, 2026.
Home Guards play a crucial supporting role in law enforcement, disaster response, and community safety initiatives in Uttar Pradesh. The recruitment drive has generated strong interest from candidates, highlighting the importance and demand for the position.
UP Home Guard Exam Pattern
The written examination will include 100 objective-type questions. These will focus on general knowledge, current affairs, and topics related to Uttar Pradesh and national issues. Each question will be worth one mark, and candidates will have two hours to complete the test.
To advance to the next stage, candidates must achieve at least 25 % of the total marks. The test will evaluate general awareness, reasoning ability, and understanding of social and historical contexts.
Selection Process
Candidates must clear several stages to qualify for final selection
- Written Exam: Scheduled for April 25 to 27, 2026
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Measures endurance and physical fitness through activities like running and jumping
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Evaluates height, chest measurements, and overall physical standards
- Document Verification: Confirms the eligibility and authenticity of certificates
- Medical Exam: Ensures candidates meet health requirements
