Aamir Khan respond to Sitaare Zameen Par remake criticism, says “Main thoda pagal type ka aadmi hun"

Aamir Khan has respond to remake criticism around his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par. Many social media users have accused of being a near scene-by -scene remake of the Spanish movie Champions. This backlash comes in the wake of his 2022 film Laal Singh Chaddha, which is an official model of the Hollywood traditional Forrest Gump.

Aamir Khan broke silence on film controversy

Speaking on Raj Shamani’s podcast, Aamir broke his silence on the controversy and said he sees no problem with making remakes. Reflecting on the backlash, he said:

“Laal Singh (Chaddha) ke baad, mujhe bohot brand ne bola ki aap phir remake bana rahe ho. Laal Singh mein bohot aapko trolling hui thi, ki aapne remake banayi, remake banayi. Lekin kya hai, main thoda pagal type ka aadmi hun, practical cheezein mujhe samajh mein nahi aati.”

Actor Show Potential for Making Remake

The actor went on to provide an explanation for why adapting a present story through his own picture still appears like an innovative practice: “Mujhe koi problem nahi hai remake karne mein. Mujhe nahi lagta hai meri creativity kum ho rahi hai, at all. Kyunki main apne liye toh naya kaam kar raha hun. Kisi aur ne yeh kahani banayi hai, ab main isko apna nazariya de raha hun.”

Drawing parallels along with his very own filmography, Aamir Khan said, “Main jab Ghajini kar raha hun, woh toh Tamil mein ban gayi hai naa Ghajini, Murugadoss bana chuka hai Tamil mein Ghajini, ab aap dobara Ghajini kar rahe ho. Nahi, lekin main apni nazar se kar raha hun, aur meri fans ke liye main apni strength usme daal ke aapko dikha raha hun. Toh mujhe lagta hai mera kaam usse Alag hai.”
