A father’s love knows no fear, and it is such a love that made Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan fight like a hero for his family despite six stab wounds when burglars attempted to loot his Bandra house in Mumbai.
The terrible incident happened early on Thursday when an intruder entered Saif’s home in Satguru Sharan building, where he lives with his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their two young children, Taimur and Jeh. According to Filmfare, the 54-year-old actor shielded his family by placing himself between his attacker and loved ones as they ran for their lives. Saif was trying to help his family get downstairs when the burglar attacked him, stabbing him multiple times and leaving the area.

According to Dr. Niraj Uttamani from Lilavati Hospital, Saif received six stab wounds- two deep wounds and one just above his spine. He is safe now but remains under observation since he was operated upon.
Police are investigating the attack and suspect that the assailant may have been hiding inside the building prior to the incident. Though CCTV footage reveals no unauthorized entry after midnight, the authorities are questioning three household staff members and are scanning the premises for additional clues. The number of intruders involved is not known yet.

According to sources, during the attack, Saif’s only concern was for his wife and children. It was because of his courageous action that they got time to go to a safer place, saving them from something worse. Fans and Bollywood stars have come forward in large numbers to support the actor, lauding his courage and praying for his speedy recovery.
