The audio emerged weeks after Rashmika’s wedding to Vijay Deverakonda on February 26 this year. Although the clip has circulated recently, it is said to be from an old interview Suman had with a Kannada news channel 8 years ago.
In response to the audio’s circulation, Rashmika released a statement condemning the sharing of what she called an old private conversation. She warned of possible legal action if the content is not taken down.
What The Resurfaced Audio Clip Is About
Rashmika Mandanna and Rakshit Shetty met while working on the 2016 Kannada film Kirik Party. The two got engaged in 2017, but their engagement ended in 2018. Both actors announced that they had mutually decided to separate.
The resurfaced clip is reportedly from an interview Suman Mandanna gave to senior film journalist Mahesh Devi Shetty. In it, she discussed disagreements that occurred between the two families during that time. Suman stated that the family accepted the relationship even though Rashmika was young. She mentioned that tensions heightened during the engagement and that arguments happened between the families.
