Sunny Deol’s Border 2 continues to perform strongly at the box office. After a solid first seven days in theaters, the patriotic action drama is now aiming for another big milestone. Early estimates shows the film cross the ₹250 croremark in India on its eighth day.
Border 2 cross 250 crore in box office collection
As the weekend approaches, everyone watching Saturday’s collections to see if Border 2 can secure its spot among the biggest Hindi hits of the year.
The film earned ₹30 crore on its opening day, ₹36.5 crore on day 2, ₹54.5 crore on day 3, ₹59 crore on day 4, ₹13 crore on day 5, and ₹11.25 crore on day 7. This brings the total collections to ₹224.25 crore in its first week at the Indian box office.
Generate the milestone in film industry
Border 2 also made around ₹11 crore on day 8, raising its latest collections to ₹235.25 crore in India. At this pace, the film is likely to cross the ₹250 crore milestone in the country by Saturday or Sunday.
The film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on X, “Border 2 starts week 2 on a steady note, with the second Friday matching the first Thursday numbers, despite several new releases hitting theaters on Friday. The film has managed to stay in double digits and is expected to climb higher on Saturday and Sunday.”
Meanwhile, producer Bhushan Kumar told Bollywood Hungama in an interview that Border 2 not created with strict calculations in mind. He said, “We didn’t use a calculator to determine when we would make a profit or break even.” He added that the team made decisions after detailed discussions with the director and crew to focus on improving the storytelling.
