CM Nayab Singh Saini has take large initiative to convert Haryana into a international tourism hotspot. The government announce plans to host India’s 1st Disneyland -theme park in the heart of the National Capital Region (NCR) in Gurugram’s Manesar.
CM met Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in New Delhi to speak about techniques for promoting tourism and maintaining Haryana’s cultural and history. Central to the discussion was the proposed Disneyland mission, which Saini defined as a “game-changing” initiative.
India’s 1st Disneyland 500 acre site Near KMP Expressway
The amusement park will constructed on a 500-acre site near Pachgaon Chowk in Manesar. It is strategic location located on Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway and the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor.
The location, near company hubs in Gurugram and the approaching 1,000-acre Global City project, selected for its connectivity and market potential. Saini stated that Gurugram was chosen as the location due to its financial stability and infrastructure.
“The upcoming Global City venture in the city is another milestone for the area. Hence, it’s the most right area for Disneyland. The site in Manesar is strategically located along KMP Expressway and Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC). People from throughout NCR can easily visit,” he said.
Similar Project In the Past
A same initiative taken in 1989 by Haryana CM Om Prakash Chautala to bring India’s 1st Disneyland to the city. But, the mission was failed after competition from political parties and land-owning farmers.
Abhay Singh Chautala, INLD’s national president, lashed out at the ruling BJP, accusing it of hypocrisy. “The BJP vehemently antagonistic the 1989 suggestion or even a plan for a casino in 2000. They should now provide an explanation for what has changed,” he said.
