Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 faces high stakes following the massive success of the 2022 Kannada mythological thriller. With a release set for Dussehra 2025, the countdown for the multilingual fable film has begun. The makers have opened advance booking for the audience. Early data shows that movie has promising pre-sales.

According to early estimates, on the first day of advance booking, the film sold 47,210 tickets across languages by 11 AM on Saturday. With blocked seats, the film has grossed Rs 4.11 crore.

The official synopsis states, “Rishab Shetty transforms into a fierce Naga Sadhu, a warrior-mystic destined to become the bridge between mortals and the divine. The Kantara: Chapter 1 film set in the Kadamba period in Karnataka. According to CBFC certification details reported by Bollywood Hungama, the makers asked to remove an obscene hand gesture around the 45-minute mark. Additionally, a ticker added during scenes showing drug use at 52 and 53 minutes, said: “Consumption and trafficking of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances is Prohibited in Law and Punishable with Rigorous Imprisonment and Fine.”
