Maalik, starring Rajkummar Rao, released in theatres on July 11. It has not good starting on opening day, and also fail to pass the records of Bhool Chuk Maaf. Maalik Box Office Collection Day 1 reach to Rs 3.48 crore. Despite Rajkummar Rao’s overall performance and buzz around his shift from everyday roles, Maalik could not in form the opening numbers of his previous film Bhool Chuk Maaf.
Maalik Box Office Collection fails to Break records
The film also fell short of The Diplomat, John Abraham’s political film, that earned Rs 4 crore on its first day. However, it fare higher than Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, stars Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor, which opened with Rs 32 lakh.

Directed by Pulkit, Maalik features Rajkummar Rao as the lead. The cast also consists Prosenjit Chatterjee, Manushi Chhillar, and Saurabh Sachdeva. The supporting cast includes Saurabh Shukla, Anshumaan Pushkar, Swanand Kirkire, Rajendra Gupta and Baljinder Kaur.
The movie is written by Jyotsana Nath and Pulkit. While Rajkummar’s performance has gain appreciation, the movie earned mixed reviews. It has also been criticised for “weak dialogues” and a “puzzling plot,” that impacted its preliminary box office response.
In the Maalik Box Office Collection reviews, Saibal Chatterjee gave the film 2 out of 5 stars and wrote, “For Rajkummar Rao, Maalik is a meaty task. He plunges headlong into the role. That is the most effective way the lead actor could have history about his activity here because there may be little space for depth in the plot, the solution or the individual.”
