Akshay was one of the first celebrities to vote in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections on Thursday. After leaving the polling station, he briefly spoke to photographers and encouraged citizens to take part in the democratic process. “This is the day the remote control lands in our hands. I appeal to all Mumbaikars to vote,” he stated.

As he headed to his car, a young woman pushed through the crowd with a request. Holding a piece of paper, she told Akshay, “Papa bahut bade karzemeinhai, unko please baharnikalo (My father is in huge debt, please help him get out of it),” making her request in front of everyone.

Akshay Kumar paused to listen and asked her to give her phone number to a member of his team, showing he wanted to look into the situation rather than ignore it. In a touching moment, the fan bent down to touch Akshay’s feet to thank him. The actor immediately stopped her, saying, “Beta aisa mat kar (Don’t do that, child),” that led to appreciation from viewers.
