Nayanaratha called it “an all-time low” and reflective of the very character Dhanush was infamous for. She wrote: “Something’s wrong about the motives if this is how seriously he is taking a case. Shocking that he is claiming the booty from behind-the-scenes visuals.” She said that although the clip was available on social media, asking for ₹10 crore for three seconds was “excessive and unreasonable”.

Terming the incident a “cheating” process, the heroine took deeper jabs at Dhanush and said, “You preach virtues on stage but fail to practice them in reality.” Drawing from the past incidents, she recalled that when Naanum Rowdy Dhaan became a hit, he had made negative comments, stating that the film did not require success after making him feel bruised due to ego.
