A movie based on the Raja Raghuvanshi murder is in the works, his family announced. Tentatively titled ‘Honeymoon in Shillong’, the film hint at the activities led murder during trip to Meghalaya with his wife Sonam.

The statement made throughout a press conference held at the Raghuvanshi house in Indore. Raja’s elder brother, Sachin Raghuvanshi, said the family given their consent for the movie. It ensure that the reality reaches the general public. “If we do not deliver the story of my brother’s murder to the big screen, people will not be able to know who was right,” he said. Another brother, Vipin, said that the film also help make a balanced photograph of Meghalaya.
SP Nimbawat Directs the ‘Honeymoon in Shillong’ film
The film directed by SP Nimbawat, who said the project aims to focus on how betrayal have deadly effects. “Through our movie, we need to give a message to the public that such incidents of betrayal have to stopped,” he said. Nimbawat showed that the script is complete, with 80 % of the shoot planned in Indore and other parts of Meghalaya.
Through the Raja Raghuvanshi murder film, we want to offer message to society. We need to make this movie so that anything happened to Raja, doesn’t occur to each person else. We are going to get Bollywood actors and the script is almost ready. Around 20 % of the film shot in Shillong.
