Superstar Salman Khan Sikandar not have done well at the box office and even called his “weakest” film by many critics. However, Salman has no regrets about making the film. In fact, he criticized the film’s director AR Murugadoss for saying that Salman showed up on set late at night.
Salman Khan responds to AR Murugadoss
During Bigg Boss 19’s Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Salman talked about his recent release Sikandar and made fun of AR Murugadoss for his remarks about Salman’s late arrivals on set.
Comedian Ravi Gupta was on the show and asked Salman to name the movies he regrets doing. Reflecting on his career, Salman mentioned Suryavanshi (1992) and Nishchay (1992). When Ravi asked if there any recent films he regretted, Salman said, “Nayi mein se koi nahi hai… log kehte hain Sikandar par main nahi manta, uska plot bahut acha tha.”
What did Murugadoss say about Khan
In an interview with Valaipechu Voice after Sikandar’s release, Murugadoss discussed why the film did not succeed at the box office. “It’s not easy to shoot with a Salman Khan. Even day scenes, we have to shoot at night because he turns up on set only by 8 PM. We used to shooting early in the morning, but that’s not how things work there,” he said, noting that it also affected the other actors on set.
