Sunil Grover, who became well-known for his time on Kapil Sharma’s show, found success years after he entered the entertainment industry. Before his breakthrough on Kapil Sharma’s show in 2013, Sunil faced personal struggles. His co-star Upasana Singh, who plays “bua” on the show, shared this information. Upasana noted that executives wanted to fire Sunil during his early days.
What Upasana Singh Shared About Sunil Grover
“When Kapil’s show started, he was not well. I asked him what happened, and he told me he was hospitalized because of depression. He didn’t have much work either. When he came to my house with Kapil, I didn’t even recognize him because he wasn’t doing much then. But he did so well, and we are such good friends now,” Upasana explained during an interview.
Why Executives Wanted to Fire Sunil
At one point, the creative executives involved with the show considered firing Sunil Grover because they believed he was not keeping up with the others. “When he first joined, he spoke slowly. So the creative team wanted to let him go because they thought he couldn’t do it and couldn’t keep pace with the rest of the cast. I told them, and Sunil and everyone else know this too, that he is a very good actor, and they should keep him,” she shared.
