Sources told that the aim is to gain relevance within the global Sikh community. It emphasize anti-India sentiment tied to the anniversary of the 1984 riots. SFJ has a history of issuing online threats, displaying provocative banners, graffiti, and carrying out cyber disruptions.

Australian police sources informed that recent calls for shutdown rallies and a direct video message from SFJ leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun raised the threat level in Melbourne to Level 2. Agencies are taking the risk of lone-actor disruptions or sabotage seriously.

Reports behind Diljit Dosanjh’s Aura 2025 threat shows that groups like the Victorian Sikh Youth Front and the Australian Sikh Rights Collective linked to SFJ’s digital campaigns. Coordination and funding managed through encrypted Telegram channels. SFJ used servers in the US and Canada to hide its activities.
The Australian Federal Police are actively monitoring 12 to 15 individuals in Melbourne and Sydney in connection with these plots. SFJ has also promoted hashtags such as #BoycottDiljit and #PanthicJustice on X and Instagram.
