Two suspects on a motorcycle fired shots at Bollywood actor Disha Patani home in Bareilly’s Civil Lines early Friday morning before escaping. The Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar gang took responsibility for the incident. They cited alleged disrespect towards ‘spiritual figures’ as the reason for the attack.

At the time of the shooting, Disha’s family was at home. This included her sister Khushboo Patani, a former army officer, her father Jagdish Patani, a retired DSP, and her mother Padma Patani. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Disha Patani was in Mumbai when the attack happened.
After Jagdish Patani informed the police, they found two empty cartridges outside the house. Security forces assigned to the property to ensure the family’s safety while the investigation continues. Bareilly’s senior superintendent of police, Anurag Arya, confirmed that the shooting occurred around 4:30 am and that the crime branch is now handling the case.

“CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed, and alerts have issued for gangster Goldy Brar and his network. Five teams formed to find and arrest the attackers,” said the SSP. “A complaint filed, and the investigation is moving quickly. The families are receiving full protection,” Arya said.
The Godara-Brar gang claimed responsibility for the attack in a Facebook post. They said the shooting was a response to comments made by Disha Patani and her sister about seers Premanand Maharaj and Aniruddhacharya Maharaj.
