The AP Cabinet today to approve the 2026-27 Budget, which is expected to be around Rs 3.48 lakh crore. Minister Payyavula Keshav will present the full budget in the Assembly, while Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha will present it in the Legislative Council.

After that, the government will present the agricultural budget separately. Minister Atchannaidu will handle the presentation in the Assembly, and Revenue Minister AnganiSatya Prasad in the Council.
Focus on Development, Welfare, and a New Budgeting Approach
This will be the third time Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav presents the budget. He has previously submitted the Vote Account Budget and a partial budget. After completing his preparations, he aims to present a detailed budget for 2026-27 that balances development projects and welfare programs.
The budget has been designed to match government priorities and benefit the public. This follows pre-budget meetings held ten days ago, during which proposals from various ministers and department secretaries were discussed. The AP Finance Department has noted that this budget will be different from the traditional methods used in previous years.
