Pathak pointed out that the record budget intended to significantly enhance infrastructure and public services. He mentioned that the budget will focus on improving water supply, electricity, roads, schools, and hospitals while speeding up overall development. He believes this financial plan crucial in raising living standards and matching the state’s growth with PM Modi vision of a developed India.
Pathak also highlighted that healthcare will be a major focus. The government plans to strengthen healthcare at all levels, from primary health centers to advanced facilities, and work towards expanding quaternary care services throughout the state.
Which sectors focused in budget?
Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna shared similar views, said that the budget maintains the government’s focus on key groups, including women, youth, farmers, students, workers, and those in need. He criticized the opposition for their lack of constructive input.
State minister Jayveer Singh credited Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership since 2017 with what he described as a significant increase in the budget’s size and scope. Singh said that improved law and order and better administration have turned higher funding into visible progress on the ground. He noted that the growing interest from investors within India and abroad shows the state’s shifting economic landscape.
The Budget Session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly started on February 9 and will run until February 20. The largest State Budget for the 2026-27 financial year set to presented today.
