Well-known diagnostic labs show mismatch results in medical tests: People raise questions over health care

Founder of SunGlare Saurabh Arora has raised serious questions about the genuineness of health check-up reports when he noticed an astonishing mismatch between results from two diagnostic labs that are extremely well known. It all began on 16 November 2024, when Tata 1mg conducted Arora’s preventive health check-up.

He took it to social media to express his frustration and posted that:

“I was alarmed just the next day when Dr Lal Pathlabs conducted my second check-up,” says Arora.

Notably, his triglyceride levels were recorded 212 in the Tata 1mg report but just after 24 hours the same test result was reported by Dr Lal Pathlabs as a mere 68.

Such a huge variance of results in the same test within such short periods has been making alarm bells ring about the accuracy and credibility of these major health services.

Arora took to his social media to upload this shocking revelation, attaching screenshots of the conflicting reports. His post quickly picked up many such consumers voicing their uncertainty over the reliability of lab results.

Victim takes it to social media to show different results from well-known diagnostic labs

In a market where health diagnostics form such an important part of a patient’s care, the discrepancy between Tata 1mg and Dr Lal Pathlabs raises serious questions over the protocols and quality control measures employed by these companies.

“How will consumers feel when reports vary so drastically? A patient will not know which laboratory is reliable,” Arora remarked in his post.

This issue showcases the need to increase transparency in the healthcare sector, especially diagnostics. Despite Tata 1mg and Dr Lal Pathlabs being brand names, this reminds patients to question their health data.

The expose by Arora acts as a wake-up call not only for consumers but also for the healthcare sector, reminding them always to ensure accuracy and consistency in health data.
