The Delhi Police deported 71 foreign nationals, including Bangladeshis, Rohingyas from Myanmar, and Nigerians, has seen staying illegally in country, official said. In May, 71 such individuals, 47 from Bangladesh, 17 Rohingyas from Myanmar and 7 from Nigeria, understand by diverse police systems of Dwarka and released to a detention centre after being produced before the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO).
Deportation of foreign nationals by Delhi Police
Different systems and police stations, which includes Uttam Nagar and Chhawla, launched coordinated operations to perceive foreign nationals illegally living in the city.
The police said the crackdown initiated based on a tip-off regarding people overstaying in India without valid visas or having entered country illegally. These persons observed living or roaming in different areas of Dwarka district. The range of deportations, 38, made by Special Staff, observed by 24 through the Uttam Nagar police station.
The Anti-Narcotics Cell, Delhi Police and the AATS deported 6 and 1 individual, respectively. All of them booked under sections and released to detention centres following FRRO orders, the police said.
