The final hours of campaign of Delhi elections will end today, and city it ready for voting on 5 February. MCC (Model Code of Conduct) will come into effects on Monday at 5 PM, and end up political activity during election period. As per statement release by Delhi Chief Electoral Officer, over 1.56 Crore voters are eligible to give votes in Delhi elections. There are total 13,766 polling stations in city, and it facilitates the voting process smoothly on 5 February.
Home voting facility available in Delhi
There are around 1.56 crore voters in delhi, out of which, 83.76 lakh are men, 72.36 lakh are women, and 1,267 are third gender voters. To ensure greater accessibility during Delhi elections, the authority has set 733 polling stations for the disable people.
It also supports vulnerable populations, and setups home voting facility for disabled people and old age citizens. This facility is available till 4 February and allows voters to participate in this process at their comfort. Now city people are ready to choose a leader who lead their city for the next 5 years.
