The former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and national convenor of the AAP party lose New Delhi seats from BJP’s Parvesh Verma. BJP Leading with 48 seats and AAP at 22 seats. Arvind Kejriwal Loses New Delhi from opposition party. AAP defeat from BJP with 3,182 votes, and it is the major setback for Aam Aadmi Party. Verma is leading by majority of votes with just two rounds of vote counting, according to the Election Commission website.
BJP leading in 46 out of 70 assembly constituencies, whereas AAP receive 24. Congress still trying to secure lead in seats. The majority number of seats to win Delhi elections is 36 seats.

The New Delhi constituency witness an intense electoral contest with main candidates including Arvind Kejriwal from AAP Party, Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma of BJP Party, and Sandeep Dikshit of Congress ( INC) party. As per ECI, the constituency record a voter turnout of 56.41 %.
