A Noida manshared a strange video showing the poor quality of construction in his newly built house, which he said cost about Rs 1.5 crore. Kabeer, a content creator in Noida, posted the video on Instagram. It sparked a flood of questions and anger about bad housing practices and low standards in real estate projects.
Man from Noida hammer pencil in wall of Rs 1.5 crore flat
In the video, Kabeer warns homeowners to stay alert during construction. “Whenever you’re getting your house built, make sure to always keep an eye on how they’re building it. Otherwise, this is what you will get. What have they built?” he wrote in his caption.
To show this, he presses a pencil against the wall and taps it lightly with a hammer. To his surprise, the pencil goes right through the surface. The video then reveals two to three visible holes with pencils still stuck inside. Kabeer adds, “I placed the pencil on the wall and slammed it with the hammer, and it ended up going inside the wall.”
As he moves the camera, he shows another area where a drill hole resulted in an even stranger outcome. “This a hole I made using a drill, and when I put a pencil in this hole, it ended up going straight through the wall,” he says.
Give reality check to expensive flats
The clip includes text that states, “Reality behind a Rs 1.5 crore house, can you guess which society this is in Noida?” Kabeer tests the strength of his wall in a simple but absurd way. He points to several small holes, explaining, “These holes made with a pencil, the kind that kids use in schools.”
