A heart-breaking incident occurs on Wednesday afternoon at Sainik Plaza, when 45-year-old real estate businessman Shahvaaz Siddiqui died by suicide. He shoot himself with a security guard gun in his office. Minutes before the suicide, Shahvaaz shared his stress on a live Facebook video, bringing up heavy debt as the reason.

Around 4:30 PM, Shahvaaz go live on Facebook, declaring, “I am very distressed. I tried a lot, but no person helped. I am finishing my life today so that my own family does not go through further.”
During the live video, he accused his friends of framing and harassing him. He also pleaded with PM Modi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Ratan Tata, and actor Salman Khan to help his own family with ₹30 crore, so they pay off his debts.
Depression of ₹15 Crore Debt
Younger brother of Shahvaaz Siddiqui, Shahnawaz, revealed that his brother had been under mental stress for the past half a year. He had launched a housing project close to Kisan Path on the Barabanki border with several partners. While plots in this colony, advanced on 8 bighas of land, have been offered, delays in construction and ownership caused stress from clients. According to his brother, plot customers have been requesting stressful refunds, and some had even resorted to legal stress. This stress led Shahvaaz right into a state of prolonged melancholy. He was under debt of around ₹15 crore.
