Six-time world boxing champion MC Mary Kom spoke candidly for the first time about her divorce after 20 years of marriage. During her appearance on the Aap Ki Adalat show with Rajat Sharma, she made several surprising revelations.
Rajat Sharma mentioned that her husband, KarungOnkholer, also known as Onler, had given up a promising football career to stay at home and care for their children.
Mary Kom and Ex-Husband Trade Accusations
Mary Kom sharply dismissed this claim. She said, “What successful career? He used to play football in the streets. To tell you the truth, he was not even earning a rupee. Nothing at all, where’s the sacrifice? He slept all day.”
She continued, “He was living off a girl’s earnings. I felt sad. I was earning so much, all my beliefs and trust. Later, I found out that my account was about to be empty.”
Share one of alarming incident
Mary Kom also shared an alarming incident where her husband woke up early one morning, went to her bank with her personal security officer, and withdrew Rs 10 lakh from her account. He later told her that he had only taken Rs 30,000 after closing an old account. Mary said that this incident happened twice, explaining, “I caught him red-handed twice after I was injured.”
When asked about her relationship with her business partner, Hitesh Chaudhary, the boxing icon replied, “He is gone. We have quietly divorced.”
