The wedding of Smriti Mandhana- Palash Muchhal Wedding has been postponed after Mandhana’s father, Srinivas Mandhana, was taken to Sarvhit Hospital in Sangli due to heart attack symptoms. The ceremony was set to take place in her hometown in Maharashtra on Sunday, November 23.

Dr. Naman Shah, the Director of Sarvhit Hospital, reported that Mandhana’s father showed symptoms after feeling pain on the left side of his chest. He mentioned that the collapse could stem from the physical and mental stress of the busy wedding preparations. Dr. Shah indicated that he may need ongoing ECG monitoring and possibly an angiography.
Dr. Naman Shah said, “Srinivas Mandhana, Smriti Mandhana’s father, experienced symptoms of a heart attack around 1 to 1:30 PM after feeling left-sided chest pain. He was taken to Sarvhit Hospital and Medical Research Centre in Sangli for further assessment.
“Despite having slightly raised cardiac enzymes, he requires ongoing observation. Our cardiologist, Dr. Rohan Thanedar, has also examined him. There are no new findings on the echocardiogram. However, he may need continuous ECG monitoring and, if necessary, angiography.
Blood pressure elevate due to wedding physical and mental stress
“Currently, his blood pressure is slightly elevated, so he needs constant monitoring. It may be due to physical or mental stress, especially since it is wedding season with a lot of activity.”
According to Mandhana’s manager, the cricketer said that she did not want to continue with the wedding. This is why Smriti Mandhana- Palash Muchhal Wedding postponed.
“This morning, while he was having breakfast, his health started to worsen. We waited for a bit to see if he would improve, but his condition kept getting worse. We didn’t want to take any risks, so we called an ambulance immediately, and he was rushed to the hospital,” manager Tuhin Mishra told India Today on Sunday afternoon.
