Tata Motors Stocks Falls 5.5% after JLR Projects share lower margins for FY26

Tata Motors Stocks declined over 5% in early trade on Monday. It is after the JLR show the lower margins for FY26.  As the global vehicle industry gauges the impact of looming US price lists, Tata Motors remains one of the most exposed Indian automakers to Donald Trump’s tariffs on automobile imports, given its possession of Jaguar Land Rover.

The EBIT margin outlook for the contemporary financial year remains under the reported margin of 8.5% for FY25. Furthermore, after reporting free cash flows of £1.5 billion for the overall financial year 2024-25, JLR expects to decline to shut to 0 in FY26. However, management remains constructive going forward, stating that they assume to improve year by year for FY27 and FY28.

Tata Motors Stocks affected by US tariffs

Amid US tariff woes, JLR had quickly paused shipments to country after Trump slapped a 25% tariffs on all automobiles sold in the world’s second-largest car market.

Jaguar Land Rover contributes extensively to Tata Motors, accounting for about two-thirds of its consolidated revenue. In FY25, JLR contributed about 71% of Tata Motors’ overall sales and 80% of its profitability.

Against this backdrop, Tata Motors Stocks price declined as tons as 5.5% to the day’s low of ₹672.75 on the BSE. From its 52-week high of 1,179.05, the Tata Motors inventory has tumbled 43%, ensuing in a widespread investor wealth erosion.

Meanwhile, over the last year, Tata Motors has visible a 31.40% decline in its trade prices, and for the year-to-date (YTD), it’s down 9%.
