Delhi Hotels Sold Out, Rs 30-Lakh Rooms as Pichai and Altman Arrive for AI Summit

With the global focus on AI moving to Delhi, hotel prices in the city are reaching astonishing levels. Room rates at top luxury hotels have exceeded Rs 30 lakh a night ahead of the upcoming AI Impact Summit, which is just a week away. The city is preparing to welcome some of the world’s leading tech figures, including Sundar Pichai and Sam Altman.

AI Summit rise the Delhi hotels prices

A ‘Garden Luxury Suite’ with a king bed and pool view at IHCL’s Taj Palace in New Delhi costs Rs 27.55 lakh per night during the AI Summit. With around Rs 5 lakh in taxes, the total bill comes to nearly Rs 32 lakh for stays from February 16 to 20. On February 13 and 14, the same room is available for about Rs 2 lakh a night, including taxes.

1500% price higher during Valentine day

Prices during the summit are almost 1,500 % higher than the peak for Valentine’s Day. For February 16 and 17, most luxury rooms already booked, according to the Taj Palace New Delhi’s website. Several room types, including Superior and Luxury rooms with views of the Diplomatic Enclave, as well as premium options like the Garden Presidential two-bedroom suite and the Presidential Suite with pool view, are currently unavailable. The site shows a message indicating no rooms meet the selected search criteria.

At the Leela Palace in New Delhi, the Maharaja Suite costs Rs 6.9 lakh a night for non-members, and members pay Rs 5.9 lakh for check-in on February 16. Even at The Oberoi, New Delhi, luxury rooms priced at Rs 5.5 lakh.

It is almost sold out at the Lalit in Delhi for February 19-20, according to Vineet Kapoor, Hotel Manager of The LaLit Suri Hospitality Group. He mentioned they host several international leaders and delegates during the summit.
