Google invest 85 crore in Wadhwani AI
This project is a key part of Google’s larger effort to make responsible AI learning accessible. The goal is to reach 75 million students and 1.8 million educators across the country by December 2027.
The funding will support the integration of AI features into existing public infrastructure, such as the SWAYAM online learning portal and the POSHAN Tracker, which monitors health and nutrition. Instead of creating separate systems, this partnership aims to strengthen platforms that millions of Indians already use daily.
Investment boost Personalized AI learning
By embedding AI directly into these government platforms, the initiative plans to offer personalized support to learners at every stage of their education, from early childhood to vocational training.
This investment help develop and implement various AI-driven features to improve learning outcomes. For example, it will provide voice-based AI to assist young students in building oral reading skills in ten different Indian languages.
It also enable AI-powered English language coaches to help students and early-career professionals develop the communication skills needed for today’s job market. Additionally, Google’s main learning products, including Gemini and Google Classroom, will be available in multiple Indian languages, ensuring access for students no matter their primary language.
