The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has introduced the implementation of Aadhaar-Based Biometric Verification for its upcoming examinations. This step will applicable for exams from May 2025 onwards.
According to notice issued via the Commission, the move is aimed at making the exam process more steady and transparent. With this new system, applicants need to confirm their identification by using their Aadhaar at different levels of the exam process.
SSC will launch Aadhaar-Based Biometric Verification
The notice reads,“The Commission has determined to put into effect Aadhar Based Biometric Authentication in its upcoming examinations. Accordingly, applicants are able to authenticate themselves the usage of Aadhaar during online registration, whilst filling up online application form for the exam and even as performing at the test centre to take examinations performed by the Commission from May 2025 onwards. Such Aadhaar authentication is voluntary and is meant as a measure to promote the benefit of enticing with the exam process.”
The authentication feature are available during online registration, even as filling the application form, and at the Exam Centre. However, the Commission has clarified that using Aadhaar for biometric verification is voluntary and not mandatory. The aim is to simplify the process and reduce the possibilities of impersonation or other malpractices.
New Verification Implementation improve recruitment
The implementation of Aadhaar-Based Biometric Verification is part of SSC’s ongoing efforts to improve the recruitment process through the use of generation. Candidates who desire to use Aadhaar for authentication can perform that in online interactions with the Commission. SSC has also urged candidates to maintain their Aadhaar info up to date and ensure that the facts fits the information provided in the application form.
